8th ANNUAL MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY

Every October, the Milpitas Executive Lions Club for the past 7 years has sponsored MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY EVENT for the community. This is the time when we come together in one location and share what services we have in the City of Milpitas and Santa Clara County. Together with the Milpitas Community Advisory Commission we will be focusing on public awareness of services available and how they can benefit from these services, where they can volunteer or make contributions. Together our goal is to build a sense of community by empowering individuals to take action!

There will also be a free HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR with the District 4-C6 Lions AJ Robinson Health Screening Van where you can have hearing, vision, blood pressure & glucose tested. FREE FLU SHOTS is also available that day.

Event:   Make A Difference Day

When:   Sunday, October 26, 2014

Time: 9am – 4pm

Where:   Milpitas Community Center

457  Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035

In addition to our city, county, health & wellness resource booths we have added an opportunity to those who have talent to participate in the entertainment portion of this event.

Do you know anyone who will be able to showcase their talent as part of the entertainment for that day? At this time we are putting the program together. It would be advisable to let us know what time they can perform and how much time allocated for the performance.

Your support will make a direct difference to our community. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions and/or special arrangements that you may have. We are looking forward to another informative, health awareness, community service and fun-filled day.
