Our goal is to raise a funds for our different youth events, services and youth opportunities.

Milpitas Executive Lions Club is holding their 3rd Walk for Youth Fundraiser from 8:00-11:30 AM at the Great Mall of the Bay Area located at 447 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000 to fund our different youth events, services and youth opportunities we provide .

Region 2 Combined Zone 1 & 2 Meeting

Special guest speaker Carole Hughes will demonstrate the integral role a Canine Companion service dog plays as a vital member of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Rehabilitation Program team that cares for children and adults that have suffered catastrophic injuries.

The Lions Project for Canine Companions for Independence is a District 4-C6 endorsed project.

FEBRUARY 15 TREE PLANTING WITH CITY OF MILPITAS

Tree planting VOLUNTEERS needed this coming Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to plant 100 trees for the beautification of the city and provide ecological and environmental value to the community.

District 4-C6 Women’s Symposium was held last February 8,2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lions Community Hall located at 12415 Murphy Avenue, San Martin. The guest speaker was Attorney Peter M. Rehon who talked about Elder Abuse: California Law and Resources Available for its Detention and Prevention.

Attendees brought package of women’s OR children’s underwear for the women’s shelter. A draw ticket is received for EACH underwear package donated and if one wears something with the color RED! Winners got great prizes.

District 4-C6 Peace Poster Judging Day

Peace Poster District Website1On November 16, 2013 all the District 4-C6 Peace Posters from different clubs will be exhibited at the Milpitas Library located 160 North Main Street, Milpitas, CA at 10:00 AM for everyone to admire.

Judging will be done at 11:00 AM. Each poster will be judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme. Posters advance through several judging levels: local, district, multiple district and international. At the international level, judges from the art, peace, youth, education and media communities select one grand prize winner and 23 merit award winners.

Twenty-four international Peace Poster entries are selected each year, representing the work of approximately 400,000 young participants worldwide. Posters are shared globally via the Internet, the media and exhibits around the world.

DISTRICT 4-C6 LIONS will sponsor The A.J. Robinson Mobile Screening Unit — affectionately referred to as “The A.J.”—- is a mobile trailer outfitted for providing health screenings that may highlight risks for blindness or vision problems.
The trailer is also outfitted to be used for hearing screenings. The range of screenings that can be provided depends on the skills of the Volunteer that staff it. You can have your   height, weight, blood pressure, resting respiratory rate, and blood sugar measured. No diagnostic procedures are performed but  leave with a record of the findings that they can bring to their doctors or health professionals for follow-up.
